In an effort to continue to enhance our access control security, our team conducted extensive research into various products and services. After the due diligence process, we selected Alcatraz https://alcatraz.ai/. The Alcatraz facial authentication readers will be an upgrade from the current campus fingerprint biometric identification system.
Over the next month, we will request that your employees enroll in the new system to ensure the transition minimally impacts your access to our facilities. Only employees needing access to the Scott Data Center must complete this process. As a general rule, any employee using fingerprint scanners must enroll in the new system. All currently held badges and PINs will remain the same. The only change is the retirement of fingerprint readers and the transition to facial authentication.
The enrollment station is now available and can be found in the DC lobby next to the security desk. To aid in alerting your employees of this change, there is a document attached that explains the system and provides information on how to enroll.
You can find more information about this process by logging into our Support Portal. If you want to learn more about the facial authentication platform we are using, please visit https://alcatraz.ai/
Feel free to submit a ticket with any questions regarding the system and enrollment process. We will be posting maintenance notifications as we select dates and times to replace the fingerprint readers.
Thank you,
The Scott Data Center Team
